Thanks...

We have come to the end of our term of office we wish to thank each one of you for your sisterly affection, support, and prayers. Thank you for trusting us, thank you for believing in us. The journey in many ways was graced moments to recognize and experience the power of God also to hold on to Him in every need. It was a time of deepening our faith, discovering our strength and opportunities for personal growth. Participating in the ministry of leadership has truly widened our knowledge of the congregation and its needs at this time in history.

While we feel blessed we do not hesitate to admit the times we may have faltered in our services to you. owHoweHo All the same, we feel that we have made sincere efforts to accomplish the plans and dreams of the province despite our differences and uniqueness.  There were times when we had to walk extra miles as some of the Team Members had full time responsibilities in other missions. In all these, what held us together were certain values and principles which were passed down to us by our pioneer sisters. We  felt strongly the accompanying presence of Euphrasie Barbier and her inspiring words ‘set your heart on fire’ and the challenging question of Jesus  “were not your hearts burning with fire when you made many Emmaus journeys?  Our journey had many death and resurrection moments. Today, as we look back over the years we feel it was meaningful and enlivening.

Without the constant support of the CLT we would not have managed to walk this path and we are deeply indebted to them for their love, guidance and encouragement during these years.

As we thank each one our wish for you is

“Where ever you are we pray that God’s love be with you;
Wherever you go, we pray He will protect you;
Whatever you do, we pray that joy will fill your heart
Because you deserve every good
                                 Gift a wonderful life that can hold !

Province Assembly 2017

The long awaited Province Assembly (India Central) was held from April 7 th - 9 th at Don Bosco Youth and Catechetical Centre in Kolkata. The sisters in the province with Facilitator Sr. Sujita SND were present for this important event in the history of the Province. The theme chosen for the assembly was “Leadership for Service”, (Mary as the model). The chapter began with a meaningful prayer ritual inviting the Holy Spirit to guide and direct the three days deliberations. The first day was concluded with the introduction, welcoming and with the input session ‘on the role of a prophetic Religious life today’. The day also added its beauty and color with the Platinum jubilee celebration of Srs. Mary Felicitas and Mary Sebastian. After much prayer and reflection we had a series of activities to enter into the process and prepare for naming Sisters for new leadership for the next three years. Finally the desired names were sent to the Generalate for confirmation. The Congregation

At the same time, it was also a day of thanksgiving of the Lord’s favour for our five Jubilarians; Sr. Thresama Vellara – Platinum, Sr. Helen Michael Shah - Golden, Sisters Monica Mardi, Rani Jacob and Philomena Guria – Silver jubilee. We joined them in chorus singing and praising the Lord for the many years of service they have rendered in the Lord’s vineyard. His Grace, Archbishop Thomas D’Souza congratulated and thanked the sisters for their faithfulness and commitment to their missionary journey. The melodious choir of our pre-postulants and Sisters made the celebration very solem
